Three new events are scheduled to come to York County over the next several months, attracting thousands of visitors and generating more than $1 million in economic impact.
The York Expo Center was recently named the host site for the 2009 Youth & Scholastic National Judo Championships, the Northeast BRUTE National Wrestling Championships and the Keystone Games Invitational Wrestling Tournament, the York County Convention & Visitors Bureau announced Wednesday.
Officials also announced that York is being considered to host an international athletic competition between police and fire officials, which would generate more than $2.2 million. read more
